Samsung Galaxy Buds get an update with a few Galaxy Buds+ features
Samsung has updated its original Galaxy Buds with some new functionality. The features are already available on the new Galaxy Buds+ and now they have been ported to the old model.
One of the most important additions to the feature list is the Microsoft Swift Pair feature. It greatly improves the pairing experience and if you are running Windows 10 version 1803 or higher, you can take advantage of all features that are available for Android. You can use those for work-related calls and listening to music.
The so-called Ambient Sound feature is also making its way to the older generation Buds. It's the exact opposite of noise cancellation - the Galaxy Buds capture the sound around you and let it through so you can stay aware of your surroundings without turning the volume down. It might be pretty useful for those cycling in the city, for example.
And last, but not least, the software brings deeper integration with Spotify. Using the tap and hold gesture, you can launch Spotify on your smartphone and continue listening from where you left off. Tap and hold again, and Spotify will treat you with recommended playlists.
